In 2022 SURPIN decided to promote research among young people in secondary and tertiary institutions, and called for research proposals to be submitted nationwide. The winners who emerged from this research competition were granted seed money to conduct research. They present their research findings at this year’s conference. The conference also features a keynote lecture from Prof Jude Ohaeri, a professor of psychiatry and a researcher and teacher.
The theme is “RESEARCH AS A TOOL FOR PROMOTING FUTURE MENTAL WELLBEING AMONG THE YOUTH”, aligning with the international theme for the World Suicide Prevention day: Changing The Narrative.
